Iran cinema theaters open new screening season with 4 movies.

Iran cinema theaters have opened the new season of screening with four movies ‘Chanel’, ‘Conditional Release’, ‘One Canary, One Crew’, and ‘Asphyxia’.

The feature film ‘Chanel’ directed by Hossein Kondori, dealing with social issues, is newly released.

The movie is a drama that tells the strange story of a nurse and the difficulties she faces in a small city where she lives.

Baran Kosari, Reza Behboudi, Bahar Katouzi, Masoud Foroutan, Babak Ansari, Mahdi Hosseininia, and Aysan Haddad star in ‘Chanel’.

Directed and produced by Hossein Shahabi, ‘Conditional Release’ is the other one on screen in Iranian cinema theaters.

It portrays the social problems and difficulties many prisoners have to deal with when they are released after long-term detentions, problems like finding a job.

Amir Jafari, Shaqayeq Farahani, Leila Otadi, Diba Zahedi, Amir-Reza Delavari, Ramin Rastad, Amir Dejakam and Ahmad Nikpour acted in ‘Conditional Release’.

‘One Canary, One Crew’ directed by Asghar Abdollahi is also currently on silver screen at a number of cinema theaters across the country.

Starring Hengameh Qaziani and Habib Rezaei, the film is about a man who accidently fires a pistol and hits his wife’s eye. The unintentional and tragic incident brings along a long muggy period of silence to their marriage. The man’s relatives warn him that if his wife is still living with him, it is because she is awaiting an opportunity to payback.

Fereydoun Jeirani’s latest feature film ‘Asphyxia’ went on public screen from Wednesday.

It is about a man who takes his wife to an asylum to be taken care of as she is suffering from neurotic tensions.

Navid Mohammadzadeh, Elnaz Shakerdoust, Mahaya Petrosian, Pardis Ahmadieh, Gholam-Hossein Lotfi, Ehsan Amani, Asadollah Yekta and Poulad Kimiaei star in ‘Asphyxia’.

Jeirani’s movie grabbed Crystal Simorgh awards for best special effects and best photography at the 35th Fajr Film Festival.
